In my mind stealth is more rewarding anyway, and it's clear this is what the game was created for. There are instances where discovery by the enemy or just one alarm can mean game over, but for the mostpart you are free to choose combat or stealth. The different levels each offer something new, and are unique enough that the overall game doesn't become stagnant. Gameplay is thoroughly enjoyable most of the time though.
